Similar as others, but adds to the genre too
As a typical Christmas film of the time, this is quite ordinary - but the film adds an aspect of the poor caring for Jesus, even if just a statue, and getting rewarded in the end. Other ingredients here are the poverty of the family, their prayer, going to church, and then getting rewarded with gifts delivered by angels. Even if it is straight forward, the film is pretty well made.
