Descriptions

A young woman stumbles across a cave that is populated by the spirits and skeletons of people who died there under mysterious circumstances.

This film is number 164 in the Star-Film catalog and contains the first double exposure in film history. It was filmed in George Méliès's studio in Montreuil, just outside Paris.

In a cave, ghosts and skeletons mysteriously come to life. A young lady appears suddenly, immediately surrounded by the apparitions. We see distinctly the back of the cave through the impalpable specters. A very scary subject that gives goosebumps.
