On Christmas night, six rich brothers don't share a cake with six poor little ones begging at their window. The next morning, they find only six bundles of birch twigs in the fireplace. Child Jesus explains to them that their bad deed deserved a punishment. The six rich children, therefore, set out in search of the poor to ask for their forgiveness.
This film was made together with the students of the Opera ballet corps.
Six rich children are singing and playing on Christmas Day when six poor children come to them asking for charity. The rich kids send them back. The next day, they only find six bundles of birch twigs in the fireplace. They weep bitterly. A child Christ explains to them that their bad deed deserved punishment and that they must now find the six poor children and ask them for forgiveness. The six children go out at dawn and many adventures happen to them. But good fairies show them the way and so they find the six poor little children coming out of a church. The latter have forgotten the affront and willingly forgive the six little rich people.
