Source: British Film Catalog

This is a British sentimental film about a coal miner’s child whose soul is taken to heaven by angels after he dies. You were supposed to weep when it was sung. British Film Catalog mentions Charles White as the author of the song, but it is Edward Farmer who wrote the original poem that this film was based on.
