Reviews
Melies show in this film that he has perfected the jump-cut effect, but other than that it is the same as the most other bewitched inn films that predated this. They all do the same, except here, at least, the perpetrator is known. Here it is evil at work, the devil or just a demon, or imp as the title says, it does not change much of idea. Maybe this adds to the comedic effect as the devil wants his sleep, but that's all. It is simple fun.
