Ida and Frantz get married. Satan, jealous of their happiness, seek to seduce Ida while Frantz is hunting. He accuses Frantz of infidelity. He says he can prove it. The young woman accepts. Satan then takes Frantz to a cabaret, makes him drink, and introduces him to a dancer. Satan returns with Ida who at this sight flees. Frantz, believing in treason, kills Ida who rolls to the bottom of an abyss. Satan then disappears in a flame. Frantz understands his mistake and descends to the bottom of the abyss but flames surround them on all sides, demons arise who drag them to hell.
