Church Temperance League was one of at least ten titles that American Mutoscope filmed at New York City’s Madison Square during the Decoration Day Parade on 30 May 1898. Decoration Day, originally a Civil War holiday, was changed by Federal law to Memorial Day in 1967.
The Church Temperance League passes the reviewing stand in New York’s Madison Square, located at Fifth Avenue and Broadway at Twenty-third Street, during the May 30, 1898, Decoration Day Parade.
