This is a very effective picture made by combining the familiar picture "Rock of Ages" with the rushing waters of the Whirlpool Rapids of Niagara. During the short length of this film, it is possible to see only a close-up of rapidly moving water and an image of a religious nature double exposed over the top of the water.
Probably inspired by the hymn, Rock of ages, by Augustus Toplady, which was a popular subject for lithographs and postcards at the turn of the century. One well-known depiction was the widely reproduced 1860's painting, Rock of ages (originally titled, Saved, or an Emblematic Representation of Christian Faith) by Johannes Adam Simon Oertel, which is similar to the superimposed image in the film.
