Description

A woman reads her favorite drama about "Joan of Arc" while working. She is passionate about being like her heroin waving around with her broom and challenging her mistress to a duel. She waves the broom at the landlord and even attacks the pastor who comes to visit, which results in her losing her job. She then applies for a job advertisement in which Professor Hasenfuß is looking for a "cook to protect the house" and then finally wins the gratitude of the professor and his wife because she beats three burglars that enter the house. She celebrates her victory with a parade in which half a dozen soldiers suddenly march through the kitchen.
